Two Days of Inspiration
with Design Students of METU ID
Returning to her alma mater, Fulden Dehneli recently spent 2 days with design students, in two different design classes, Tones of UX & Multi-Media Design, to share her journey and insights into the dynamic world of design, visualization, AI, and innovative tools.
Believing in the importance of mentorship, my visit aimed to inspire these aspiring designers by weaving personal stories of challenges and triumphs throughout my career. I aimed to provide a real-world perspective on the creative journey.
The discussions covered the ever-evolving nature of design, the impact of AI, and the array of tools available today. By exploring these topics, Fulden Dehneli instilled a sense of adaptability and excitement about the future possibilities within the design field.
An engaging Q&A session allowed students to delve into specific questions, ranging from industry insights to practical advice. The exchange of ideas created a dynamic atmosphere, fostering a sense of connection and shared creativity.

Beyond Ray Podcast with Fulden Dehneli
This month, Beyond Ray Podcast’s guest speaker was Fulden Dehneli.
Hosted by IDSA Women in Design Seattle trio, Beyond Ray is a podcast focusing on finding the anecdotes, catastrophes, achievements, 180 pivots and true passion that drives people to their most creative selves.
On this episode they interviewed Fulden Dehneli to hear about her journey from getting her start in competitions such as Electrolux Design Lab to launching her business, Fuldende, on a different continent.
The conversation also includes the benefits of designing hand in hand with manufacturing, the impact of the pandemic on our creativity and where Fulden's path leads next.
Fulden stands out for her fearless approach to design and career. In conversation with us, she explains that this mentality is possible because she breaks big moves down into temporary or short-term goals and prioritizes her creativity as though she were her own client. She's a remarkable example of following through on big ideas and letting her curiosity drive her forward.
