Returning to her alma mater, Fulden Dehneli recently spent 2 days with design students, in two different design classes, Tones of UX & Multi-Media Design, to share her journey and insights into the dynamic world of design, visualization, AI, and innovative tools.

Believing in the importance of mentorship, my visit aimed to inspire these aspiring designers by weaving personal stories of challenges and triumphs throughout my career. I aimed to provide a real-world perspective on the creative journey.

The discussions covered the ever-evolving nature of design, the impact of AI, and the array of tools available today. By exploring these topics, Fulden Dehneli instilled a sense of adaptability and excitement about the future possibilities within the design field.

An engaging Q&A session allowed students to delve into specific questions, ranging from industry insights to practical advice. The exchange of ideas created a dynamic atmosphere, fostering a sense of connection and shared creativity.

In 2023, Fulden Dehneli’s continued her duty as a jury member for the Ezber Bozan design competition, organized by EİB / Ege İhracatçı Birlikleri / Aegean Exporters'​ Associations.

This year, the jury looked through 600+ applications and searched for the most promising and original furniture designs from both design students and professionals.

Fulden Dehneli was one of the Jury Members for a design competition called, Ezber Bozan that is organized by EİB / Ege İhracatçı Birlikleri / Aegean Exporters'​ Associations. As the name states, the competition was looking for game-changer furniture designs from both design students and professionals.

After a challenging pre-elimination round and going through 1000+ applications, the Jury selected the winning designs and the ranking will be revealed on the award ceremony day!

With Fulden Dehneli’s words;

“.. Frankly, I'm super happy and honored to be part of this as a Jury member alongside many other talented Turkish Designers all around the world.

We came together to select winning designs through careful evaluation of all factors and hours of discussions.

Congrats to the winners and to anyone who put a lot of effort and did their best…

Very excited about the future of this competition and how it will expand!..”

Together with Covid-19, the world we’ve known rapidly changed. Staying motivated and creative during these unprecedented times was not easy. But maybe experiencing the world in a new way and using creativity as a way of coping with all the stress and lockdowns were opening up new possibilities?

“ …Things were tough, uncertain and blurry. It was hard to be positive and feel motivated. There were some days I doubted myself and what I’m doing. 

But between these bad days, there were also good days that I felt hopeful for the future, chose to focus on creativity, and used design as a tool to transform the negative into positive…”

As Fulden Dehneli, the Founder of f u l d e n d e, mentioned above, there is always hope and “design” can easily lead the way to find a beacon of hope for a brighter and better future.

One of the very first projects that is designed during these extraordinary times was GĀDO & KEN, a product duo for #Covid19 protection. Another product, named MICO, is a more recent project that is not officially launched yet (stay tuned for that one.)

And what is common between these two? They both won a Red Dot Design Award!

4000+ entries over 50 countries. Only 319 of them were awarded and 2 of these winner designs belong to me. Wow!

I’m really grateful for this recognition and achievement.

Although it was not possible to meet in Singapore face to face, the celebrations were still festive! See the movie below :)

ENTA, the Industrial Designers Associations in Turkey, invited Fulden Dehneli to be a part of the board for the period 2021-2022.

Connecting on the ambition to reach as many young designers and students, ENTA and Fulden Dehneli aim to spread inspiration and knowledge to unify, educate and cultivate.

A RED DOT & AN iF DESIGN AWARD tO Electrolux WELL A7/A5 Air Purifier

The air purifier Well A7/A5 is Fulden Dehneli’s final project as the Lead Industrial Designer during her time at Electrolux. As being one of the visionary products of the company that aims to challenge norms and brings effortless healthy living to the user, this product was not only designed to clean the air but also fit into users’ life and living environment.

Working closely together with many inspiring designers, including Emma Rydahl & Sara Hallin Sandström, the vision for the product and for Electrolux’s roadmap has successfully been achieved.

Short after its launch, the product won 2 design awards from Red Dot Award and iF Design Award.
